Finding Varieties of Freelance Jobs

A freelancer is a person who does not want to have any long-term commitment with any of the employers. Freelancers are chosen by the employers because they can hire professional experts for a particular period till the job is completed at a competitive salary, just one tenth of the salary of a regular employee and also get a quality output in return.
On the other hand, freelancers get a feeling of ownership and full job satisfaction. They also get enrichment of experience since they work for different types of clients on varied projects. In addition, they can take up two or more freelance jobs at a time according to their capacity. But the drawbacks are freelancers are not protected by their employers, as there is no binding. There is no guarantee of a continuous work and therefore maintaining accounts, abiding by laws and workload all pose a problem.
A freelance job can be anything ranging from writing and editing, web design and development projects, medical and legal transcription, internet research and e mail support work, data entry and administration jobs, graphic design and illustration jobs.
There are multitudes of companies that need assistance but cannot afford to hire a full time person. A retired executive may be appointed as management consultant. Previous retail managers may be able to help with inventory control. Depending upon their previous work history they can be a consultant to new retailers. In this Internet age, freelance writers are always in demand to produce crisp writings. Persons with a graphic knowledge can work a little extra on web designing.
To become a successful freelancer, there are certain things to be borne in mind. The target or goal to be achieved should be set in mind. The freelancers are compelled to adapt themselves to different kinds of clients, jobs, timeframes and methodology of work. It is imperative to impart knowledge to others without criticizing them. The views and ideas should not be thrust upon others and freelancers should not advise others unwarrantedly. To be a successful freelancer, a person should choose the job suitable to him rather than taking up the work that is available. The clients should always be posted with the latest happenings like change in address, telephone numbers, and the project they are involved with. Such things will help to build a good rapport between the freelancer and the employer or clients.
If the freelancer achieves a good reputation for the work done many more projects will start pouring in. The bottom line of successful freelancing is to let the work speak on behalf of the person.
Freelance job undertakers can work with clients locally, nationally or internationally. While hunting for a freelance job, it is always important to consider the financial condition because it is better to have freelancing as a part time and become financially stable before taking it as a full time job.
One of the most important things in freelancing is networking. The more the connections, the better chances of ongoing work and steady income. Advertising is also important along with networking. Building a website, creating a mailing list and contacting companies that are interested in the services are the ways to increase the contacts and build a business. Once a steady group of clients are established, advertising need not be as aggressive as before. Freelance jobs can be exciting and challenging.

My boyfriend is a freelance graphic/graphic designer. The best way to get going, build yourself a website and start getting a portfolio of your work online. If people can see what you do, and they like it, they'll likely want to use your services. Also, drop flyers to local businesses and talk to people. Once you get a few happy clients, they'll start talking and refer you to other people.
Offer to work for One Dollar per hour and explain why you are doing so.
I would list yourself as a consultant instead of freelancer (it sounds more professional). For Job 3, list the types of businesses you consulted for (even list their names, if appropriate) and a "Top 3" list of responsibilities. Focus on your biggest or most successful projects.
For Job 2, I would first list your title as consultant and put the timeframe that you worked part-time for that company. Then list a separate title with whatever your title was for that company and put the timeframe that you worked full-time. Treat these as two separate jobs. For example, it could look like this:
Consultant, Job 2 (January 2003-December 2004)
- Provided strategic planning recommendations to the president of research
- Traveled to more than 35 locations across the U.S. to survey franchise managers on operational procedures; developed results report and presented to board of directors
Manager of Research and Development, Job 2 (January 2005-February 2006)
- Put whatever you did here and so on…
Hope this helps!
It's worth it if you don't plan on giving up your day job for a couple of years – it takes at least that long (probably a bit longer now) to get well-enough established that it can pay the bills. Is it worth it? You meet some nice people, get to travel on the company dime, and you can make a living in the worst of times. In the best of times you'll either hire people or refuse work. (I just set my price high enough, in good times, that I only have as much work left as I can handle.)
I will share a few suggestions on how I make extra money in my free time, didn't cost me a cent to start and what I like best, I enjoy what I do:
Having your own website / blog can make you money, it takes a little time and effort but design it correctly, and you can make you extra money. It took me a few months to make an income, but now all I do is update it weekly especially my blog
I also make a little extra pocket change by doing simple things like "reading emails", I spend about an hour a night doing this!
I will post some helpful links below that helped me to get started
You can make money from home using this site.
It's easy and 100% Free.
Watch out for all the other scams other people post.
Cheers,
Dylan
